Join the Leica Akademie USA and celebrated music photographer Jérôme Brunet for a two-day music photography workshop in Las Vegas!
For over three decades, Jérôme Brunet has documented many of the legends of the music industry. Whether it’s on stage during a performance or a quiet moment backstage, he has developed a talent and skill at capturing moments that speak to the artist’s music, character, and history of the subject. This workshop provides the rare opportunity to learn from Jérôme, while shooting a live performance at The Sand Dollar Lounge, an iconic Las Vegas music venue where legends such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, and Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones have played!
Our focus will be capturing the essence of a performance in a single picture. Combining lecture, hands-on shooting and a final edit, review session, with Jérôme, attendees will learn valuable tips that will improve your ability to capture moments, on stage or in your personal life. analyze the masters of past years, and get valuable tips on how to survive in the photo pit!

Saturday, December 1st: – 10:00am – 5:00pm – After a morning presentation of Jérôme’s work and personal techniques, you’ll head to The Sand Dollar Lounge to shoot a live rock band.
Sunday, December 2nd: 10:00am – 5:00pm – Students will get a one-on-one opportunity to have your work reviewed from the session.
Who should take this workshop?
This workshop is for all levels of photography, but students are expected to have a basic understanding of their basic camera functions and operation. Level: Beginners to professionals just beginning their careers in music photography.
Jérôme Brunet has shot a veritable who’s who in the Blues, Rock, Jazz and Soul genres. His award-winning photographs have been published internationally in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Time, Billboard, Popular Photography, American Photo, Guitar World, Variety and The New York Times. He has also donated his work to the non-profit organizations Unicef, T.J. Martell Foundation, John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit and the Recording Academy’s MusiCares. Jérôme is now based in Las Vegas and is represented by the San Francisco Art Exchange, Rock Paper Photo, John Varvatos and The Black Gallery in Paris.
