Leica Q Owners Workshop: Online – February 19th, 2022
10am – 4pm (PT) / 1pm – 7pm (ET)
*Please note the Pacific Start Time*
Location: This workshop will be conducted via the online ZOOM Video chat platform.
This virtual workshop is designed for current owners of the Leica Q/Q-P, Leica Q2 & Q2 Monochrom. We will teach practical skills to enhance your experience with the camera, led by professional Leica Akademie Instructors.
Scope: This session will help ensure that you are making the most out of the capabilities of the Leica Q system. Leica instructors will lead you through understanding the menu system, recommended settings, and step-by-step tips to help you increase the accuracy of your metering and speed of focus.
The workshop is arranged with a flexible schedule, so the group can organically discuss and share feedback, based on their unique areas of interest or desired areas of improvement. Having personal access to a seasoned Leica instructor will give you an unparalleled opportunity to ask tough questions and receive practical attention.
There will be a 1-hour break toward the middle of class.
Attendance is strictly limited to 12 participants.
Topics covered include:
- Introduction to Q
- Going Beyond automatic
- Understanding Metering
- Focusing options
- Customization & optimization
Who should take this workshop? Have you owned your Leica Q for a while, but find that you are still stuck in automatic mode? Do you feel like you are not getting the most out of your camera? This workshop is for you! Owners of all experience levels will benefit from this program.
Requirements/per-requisites: Students must have ZOOM installed and running properly on their computer before the class day. Installation & operation videos are available online through the zoom website. Though this workshop is to cover all Leica Q Owners’ skill sets, it is recommended registrants have a basic understanding of camera technology navigation. Basic knowledge in photography will help. We do suggest a per-requisite workshop in Photography Fundamentals for novice users.
