Los Angeles, CA
Join the Leica Akademie in Los Angeles for a Street photography workshop with Aaron Berger and Jesse Marlow, June 16th-18th at the Leica Store LA. This 3-day course will offer the hands-on experience of shooting in the streets with two of today’s most active and sought after contemporary Street Photographers; as well as the analysis, discussion and constructive critique of photographs as a means of expression.
This combination of instructors provides the rare opportunity to observe and learn from two very distinct photographers. Participants will be able to compare and contrasting different approaches to making images, while at the same time, exploring and receiving feedback on ways to work in public spaces. The course starts on Friday night with an introduction and portfolio review. Saturday will include a full day of shooting throughout L.A. Sunday resumes with more shooting in the morning, and a final afternoon session of editing, review and feedback.
Topics covered include:
- Making photographs vs. those that happen spontaneously
- Content vs. form
- How to discover pictures, anywhere.
- Approaches to photographing people in public.
