Food Photography with Leica – Boston – March 25th, 2017
Creating beautiful images of food is an Art. For those who share a passion for great food and photography this is the workshop for you. Join celebrated New York / Boston food photographer, Andy Ryan and Master Chef Chris Coombs for this Food Photography workshop at Coomb’s Deuxave restaurant in Boston. This entry level workshop puts you in the role of editorial photographer on assignment at Deuxave. Ryan will present you with an actual editorial shot list while demonstrating a variety of food photography techniques for you to use to tell your own food story. Gourmet dishes will be your subject created specifically for you to push the limits of your own creative vision. Using Leica cameras you’ll learn how to properly work with Leica close up gear, adapters, and the full range of lenses- wide angle to telephoto. You’ll discover techniques using natural light and styling tricks to create mouth-watering still life images of Coomb’s award winning cuisine.

All Food, props, and photographic equipment will be available for use during the workshop.

About the Photographer:
Andy Ryan has been shooting food since 1990 for clients such as Starbucks, The Cheesecake Factory, Benihana, Gourmet magazine, Food Arts magazine and many others. His images have illustrated twelve cookbooks including those of Legendary Italian Chef / Food Historian Giuliano Bugialli. Ryan’s passion and appetite for great food has led him around the globe in search of culinary adventures of all manner and variety.
